Since its debut in the early 1970's, the Hind has been one of the most feared helicopter gunships in the world. It has been called the flying tank because of it's large size and weapons capacity. While it's stepped, tandem crew seating and it's employment of stub-wings to increase hardpoints are typical in the gunship configuration, the Hind's ability to transport up to eight troops to the front lines is unique.
