Das Problem liegt an deiner Kyro, in der FAQ von WS findet sich dazu folgendes:

If you are using a KYRO II, the game will fail to install on WinXP or Win2K because of a conflict between the Bink video player used by Renegade and the KYRO drivers. This will be fixed in a future driver release by KYRO, but in the meantime, you can get the game to install by:
1. Start>Control Panel>Display (Properties)>Settings>Advanced>KYRO properties
2. Check the Force Texture Compression feature
3. Install Renegade.
4. Go back to step 1 and Uncheck the Force Texture Compression
